Standard per hour rate: $150.00

       ·  Examination, Identification, Cataloguing, Research, Photography

       ·  Writing, Editing, Copying, Compiling, Collating

       ·  Telephone Time: Land & Cellular

       ·  Telephone Consultations (PayPal Available)

       ·  Conferring, Consulting, or Review of the appraiser's Work File

       ·  Preparation for a Deposition or a Court appearance

       ·  Appraisal Reviews of reports written by other appraisers

       ·  One-on-one tutorials for antiques collectors and prospective dealers:

             ○  Distinguishing genuine antiques from fakes

             ○  How, what, where, and when to buy the best

             ○  Vocabulary, on-line research tools, printed references

             ○  Administration of a practical business model

             ○  Strategy and tactics: buyer and seller

             ○  Regional tendencies in the marketplace

             ○  Psychological phenomena in the retail marketplace

             ○  Capital retention, appreciation, and investment

             ○  The professional appraiser as a member of your estate planning team

             ○  Ethics, courtesies, standards of fairness 

         

Non-standard Rate

       ·  Depositions, consultations for counsel, testimony: $2000 nonrefundable retainer within a 75 mile radius;

           nonrefundable retainer beyond 75 miles to be determined; $250.00 per hour portal-to-portal plus expenses

       · Any attempt by retaining counsel to prejudice the impartial opinion(s) of Mark C. Grove or his associates will

          violate the Retainer Agreement and result in the termination of the assignment and no fees will be returned.

       ·  Day Rate for long distance travel: $1700.00 in advance, plus expenses.

       ·  Consultation fees for disposition of property in a person-to-person exchange: 5% both sides.

       ·  Accounts past due more than 30 days shall accrue interest at the rate of 10% per month.

 

Records

       ·  Additional copies of Reports, $4.00 per page indivisible

       ·  All documentation is protected by copyright

       ·  All documentation is retained on file for at least five years

       ·  All aspects of the appraisal process are confidential

 

Ancillary Expenses

       ·  4-star lodging, at cost in advance

 ·  Air Fare, first class or business class when available, at cost in advance

 ·  Full sized rental car, at cost in advance

 ·  Mileage: 50 cents per mile, portal to portal

       ·  Personal Check

       ·  PayPal

       ·  Wire Transfer

 

 

Standard Policy

 

       ·  Estimated appraisal report costs will be determined once the examination period has been completed.

       ·  A deposit of fifty percent is required as an advance for small assignments.

       ·  For large assignments compensation will be remitted on an as-needed, draw basis.

       ·  The balance is required to be paid in full before a finished report is released.

       ·  Refunds are not granted for services already rendered.

       ·  In the event of a Court action, your lawyer will be the appraiser's client, not you.

       ·  In Court cases, when expert testimony is required, full payment will be made in

           advance in order to avoid the appearance that the appraiser's testimony depends on the

           outcome of the case.

       ·  A copy of the trial transcript will be provided to the appraiser at no cost by retaining counsel.

       ·  Deliberate concealment of relevant material facts on the part of a Client will automatically

           terminate the assignment and no refund will be granted.

       ·  Discovery of illegal actions will be reported to the appropriate Authorities.

       ·  Notice to auction companies: If I ever am able to prove a violation of the Sherman Anti Trust

           Act,  I will report you to the FBI, FTC, The State Attorney General, to your respective licensing

           agency, and I will stand trial as a witness for the prosecution.
