The museum on the island of Crete was exquisite though small in comparison. It concluded the excursion that I went on that day in May 2013.
There is absolutely no comparison in beauty, rarity, utility, or age of pottery. The Minoans were a peaceful people destroyed by seismic activity.
This is me on the Greek island of Crete. It is here where the first civilization in the Old World first appeared: The Minoans. It is they who were probably the people of the legendary Atlantis. And this enchanted land was destroyed by volcanic cataclysm ~1500 B.C. Today a remnant of Atlantis remains and is called Santorini. May 2013.
