The Appraisers Association of America (AAA) and New York University (NYU) collaborate in a certificate program to train personal property appraisers toward eventual certification in the profession. The program is a foundation kit from which graduates can launch a new career upon completion. There are plenty of other steps before accreditation is awarded by AAA.
Mark C. Grove, AAA, ASA, teaches the NYU Appraisal Report Writing Workshop. It is comprised of five two-hour sessions. The Fall 2011 semester course commences Thursday 15 September and runs for five weeks. On completion students will be able to write an appraisal report that satisfies the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice, underwriters, the courts, and even Mr. Grove.
