Michener Museum 30 JUN 09. “Contemporary art and artists in the Museum collection are the focus of this special seminar that features the lecture “Making Sense of Contemporary Art,” by Kristy Krivitsky, Associate Curator of Contemporary Art. Wendy Osterweil, Assistant Professor of Art and Art Education, Tyler School of Art, will explore the use of contemporary art in the art education curriculum; and Adrienne Romano, Curator of Education, Michener Art Museum, will highlight the special educational outreach program “Art Speaks,” which is funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Constance Kimmerle, Ph. D., Curator of Collections at the Michener Art Museum will lead a gallery discussion with Art Speaks participating artists Selma Bortner and David Graham. This program is funded by a Museums for America Grant through The Institute of Museum and Library Services.”
