Virginia Festival of the Book is a congress of authors, publishers, sellers, and collectors that gather in Charlottesville, Virginia, annually to promote their respective interests. Many authors do readings followed by book-signings and question & answer sessions. Writers fly in from all over the country, and some local celebrities, like John Grisham, hop into their jeep and drive in to mingle with National Book Award and Pulitzer winners. Check out the event’s supporting website to see if your favorite writer will be attending this year. And while here in Jefferson Country, be sure to see the third President’s beautiful home, Monticello.
