A word to the wise: do not “invest” in comic books, art, antiques, or any other tangible category. If you like it, buy it, use it, love it, keep it – whatever, but for Pete’s sake DO NOT buy it for investment. Why? Because it is completely, totally, and utterly unreliable.

Now, that said -uh-rrrum- you might just get lucky. The odds are a lot better than the lottery, for sure, but still luck has something to do with it and your eye, and the advice and scholarship you absorb along the way. And when I say “way,” I’m talking about multiple decades of “way,” because tangibles generally take a very long time to mature. Why? Well, because you’re most likely retail. Even so there is a chance you could actually get all of your planets aligned properly and hit the mother-lode, like this:
