2304:: Antique Lead Metal Whistle Mouthpiece about 1¾” in length.
I have no idea where or when I acquired this piece and I’ve probably had it for 50 years or longer, too. To me, it’s always been a whistle mouthpiece. The rest of the whistle would have been a wooden reed and so it is long gone. Another reed would be an easy fix. Reeds grow where cattails grow. Those 12 foot tall weeds with a foxtail on top, those are reeds. Indians made arrows from reeds, too.
